Special needs Community Outreach Program for Empowerment (SCOPE) is a medium for special needs families for support, education and socialization. Families with Special Needs children have an added challenge to not only raise a child but also to adapt and accommodate their special needs. This can lead to various stresses on a daily basis. Often parents are not aware of the resources that may be available to them for support. SCOPE provides Information to local resources available for families of children with special needs, programs and events for parents who want support and information from one another and educational workshops and training on various topics.  SCOPE also offers the opportunity for professionals to learn about the cultural factors impacting the care of South Asian patients with Special Needs through scheduled workshops.
