Sanatan Vidyalay (SV) is an educational program to preserve the knowledge, systems, values, and heritage of the Sanatan Dharma. The program is conducted over weekends during the school calendar year. The program begins with prayers, Vedic shlokas, and Bhagavad Gita. Children between the ages of 5-18 learn about their heritage, including rituals, Puraans, Ramayan, Mahabharat, and the principles, values, and goals of a Hindu life, within a supportive age-appropriate classroom environment. The Hindi language and yoga are taught as well. The teachings are non-denominational and seek to include all regional variations. We are a Sampradayic-neutral school. We respect all who have contributed to the teachings of Sanatan Dharma.
Students participate in celebrations of various festivals in the calendar year, culminating in the annual heritage day festival, an event of cultural performances by SV students. See below for a video showcasing student performances on this day.
